The Monument is hosting Great Fire of London anniversary events
Standing a colossal 202ft from the ground, The Monument remains one of the top attractions London to visit if you’re looking to find out more about London’s history and rich culture. With summer just around the corner, The Monument has a variety of Great Fire 350th anniversary events for all the family.
As well as enjoying panoramic views of London, there will be free talks taking place from July to September. Here, you’ll be able to learn about the history of one of the most stunning landmarks in London. Taking place every Wednesday and Thursday on the piazza just in front of the landmark, each talk will be given between 12:00pm and 14:00pm every 30 minutes on the half hour, so you’ll have plenty of time to plan your day.
You can also find information about the scheduled events happening across the City of London in 2016 with The Monument’s brand new app which will be available to download from the beginning of July. Not only is it packed with interesting facts and figures about the Great Fire of London, it also has stunning 360 degree views, augmented reality and digital content, so you can enjoy the views and learn about its rich history before you even get there.
Admission prices to visit The Monument start from as little as £2.30 for children, making it the perfect idea if you’re looking for cheap attractions London for all the family. As well as this, you also have the option of purchasing a joint ticket with London’s Tower Bridge, so you get the advantage of being able to visit two fabulous attractions for a fraction of the price. Here, tickets for children can be purchased for £5.00 and adult tickets are currently priced at £11.00.
